Upper Canyon Outfitters is a family-owned ranch in Montana’s Ruby Valley, where our family has explored since 1910. Since 1981, we’ve welcomed guests to enjoy fly fishing, hunting, and riding with comfortable accommodations. The Ruby River is one of the best wild trout rivers for Montana Fly Fishing and we provide our guests the exclusive opportunity to fish trout-filled waters here at the ranch and experience a number of different rivers and streams.

Well…. That’s a wrap, folks! It was a pretty intense season and we are so grateful to everyone that made it happen. Donna and Jake are selling the business to Cassie and Fredy on Jan 1, but that doesn’t mean you’ll be seeing any less of them, in fact you should see more of them, just doing the things they love instead of the dirty work! Donna closed the season out with this beautiful buck. What a way to end the season!

We`re interrupting our regular programming to bring you a special post! A long-standing client had a phenomenal week, thanks in part to @highlow_hunting`s expert guidance, which led to some truly impressive harvests. But what really made our week was the client`s wife, who always accompanies him to the ranch and spreads so much cheer – she even gets into the holiday spirit by decorating their cabin! All in all, week 4 was a success, and we`ll have more updates for you tomorrow.

This Marine Veteran may have limited mobility, but their is no limit to his heart or willingness to get a job done! When Mike got this cow, it was a win for the whole team at UCO. Mike headed home with lots of meat for the winter and a sense of accomplishment.
